I am 19 days post partum and am having some throbbing pain in my pubic bone for the last 5 days or so, specifically after doing any physical activity. Yesterday I tried to run on my treadmill slowly and afterwards the throbbing in my pubic bone was bad enough I ended up walking funny from the discomfort. Even just walking the dogs for more than 20 min results in throbbing pain. Anyone know what this might be and what I can do to make it go away? I am itching to start exercising properly again and this pain in my crotch is not helping!

Your body still has the hormone relaxin working on your ligaments. Your body will slowly start getting back together. I would take it easy on the physical activity if I were you. They tell you not to do strenuous activity for a while after. After both my babies I was teaching Irish dance classes but I didn't go back until 5 weeks or so postpartum. I didn't feel ready before that. Even when I did go back I noticed I had to take it slow for the first few weeks back because I would start bleeding all over again.
Take a break from the treadmill for a couple more weeks. Walking is good. Don't go crazy like speed walking though.

I also found I had a lot of joint pain after my second child. Like I could barely walk for a week after! So surprising. And had hip trouble for a good 8 weeks getting in and out of bed and rolling over. Crazy.

Yup I had the same thing and still do! I'm just about 2 years post pardum and if I workout or walk for long periods of time my public bone hurts. It gets better but obviously mine didn't. Oh and I wouldn't start working out till about 8 weeks or even longer because if you mess with your body like that you won't heal properly and you won't be able to work out for a very long time. I tried to workout right after the baby was born and damaged my pelvic floor and everything so I couldn't workout till about 3 months after... Let ur body heal or u will regret it
