Pulsing beat, left side...placenta?

Hi

Just been for a lie down and as I was laid on my right side, i could feel a kind of heartbeat/pulsating on my lower left side....was this the placenta?
I tested my own heartbeat which was faster and it wasnt baby as hers is way faster.

Is this normal??

I had this a few weeks back, I was quite concerned, kept me awake several nights. I told my midwife and she just said "how odd, perhaps it is the placenta or cord" and left it at that

I have had 2 scans since (growth scans, and they check condition of placenta and blood flow through the cord) and everything was ok.

Perhaps mention it when you see your midwife but in my case it was just a weird experience and I've not had it again now for about 3 weeks.

Could be baby hiccups, or it could be your LO practicing breathing.

Its happened a few times and I thought it may be hiccups but today it went on for a while!! Ill mention to MW a week on weds when I see her..
