My 5-year old son has been diagnosed with this. Anyone have any knowledge or experience on this?

ETA: I meant to type Pulmonary Hypertension!

Hi, my daughter had severe persistant pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN) from birth due to the condition she was born with. She was still suffering from PH after her surgery, etc and was discharged home on oxygen as treatment for the PH/low oxygen sats without oxygen.

She stayed on oxygen til she was 15 months old, then was weaned off. Last tests never showed any PH, she's now 3 1/2.

I know there are a few treatments for PH, including a viagra type drug.

I hope your little man is doing ok.

Thanx for replying!! I'm happy to hear your daughter has recovered so well. Amazing. We're in the middle of getting my son diagnosed with the cause of his PH. That will make a big difference to how he's treated, so I guess we just need to be patient. It's difficult though, because we don't know how bad things may get. Stories like yours does give hope, thanx!!
