Doctors say u dont usually get them til ur 3rd tri well i have been dealing with them from day 1 i swear puppps is hell u cant really get a complete relief and the only cure is birth!!! Which me being 16 weeks is not an option yet!!! Puppps are driving me insane!!! Studies have shown that 70% of women who get them give birth to a boy so they believe its the male hormones that irritate our bodies and the funny thing is im having a boy!!! Whoever else has them i wish you the best cuz there is nights i wake up in tears from scratching so much that i make my skin bleed and every sort of relief i have found has either knocked me out(which was ok for baby) or only lasted 20 min to an hour !!!!! And the cherry on top is once you give birth puppps comes back once or twice then its gone for good!!!! Ugh i hate puppps so much!!!

Ugh thats what i have right now i just got it a couple of weeks ago and its driving me absolutly insane i cant stand it.. im so itchy all the time errg

aw i'm so sorry, it sounds awful. Has your doctor put you on any creams? I know there are some steroid creams that are supposed to offer some relief.

NO MY OB-GYN WANTS TO WAIT AND SEE HOW THEY ARE ON MY NEXT APPOINTMENT SO IM GOING CRAZY!!! I NEVER EVEN KNEW PUPPPS EXSISTED!!! ITS PURE HELL THERES NOTHING U CAN REALLY DO BUT GIVE BIRTH!!! I FREAKIN HATE PUPPPS!!!

Just tried gold bond and it just made my skin literally burn!!!!

Oh Hunni
I just HAD to reply to this one,i too had pupps but post partum, about 1-2 weeks after birth, now i am a person who doesnt *have* to itch bites and stuff but OMG THIS drove me mental,i was scratching my skin off in my sleep, wearing gloves to stop myself but i ended up using my watch strap,it was crazy!!
Luckily enough my MW had seen pupps post partum before and she was brilliant, whereas the doctor refused to give me anti histimines she actually rang up the hospital to find out which ones i could take because i was bfing and got me a prescription, within a day the itching was decreasing and about 2 weeks later it stopped completly..
The only thing i can reccommend is finding a antihistimine which is ok in pregnancy, there must be one out there,do you have a mw? If so talk to her she may be able to help, you ob must know of a antihistimine you could take.
Sorry if i've gone on a bit,but i really get where you're coming from,we're not talking about a lil itch here and maybe if your ob had it he/she would understand.
Hugs
xx xx

I was prescribed hayleave. Cold showers, loose clothes, camomile lotion and exfoliating gloves kept me sane x

Just wondering, did they do a blood test to check your bile acid levels to rule out Obstetric Cholestasis? As it's quite "rare" a lot of doctors don't think about checking for this condition. I've been itchy as hell for past 3 weeks nearly and it turned out to be OC. Try some menthol cream if you can find some, I use Menthol Aqueous; I heard the bodyshop's peppermint cream is a gd alternative :)
