purple nipples ouch :(

i post way too much
so the past week or so, my nipple (just the nipple not the areola) has randomly been turning a dark purple, and it feels like someones pinching them as hard as they can! it hurts so much, i was almost crying the other day because of it. even my oh said it looked painful.
the only relief i get is if i put lots of pressure on it, but even then it doesnt go away for ages.

I have something similar...I get a burning sensation in my nipples, or sometimes it's pain that radiates from the nipple toward the inside of my breast. Sometimes they turn purple or white, or look mottled. My doctor thinks it could be Reynaud's of the nipple, which is caused by vasospasm in the nipple. It's super annoying, and often wakes me up from a deep sleep. It lasts about 20 minutes and can be extremely painful. So far I've found that taking vitamin B complex really helps. Instead of getting it 3-4 times a day and being in agony, I get it maybe once a day and it's pretty mild.

i think it will be to do with raynauds, because my feet and hands often turn purple/pink, and when its winter its so painful for me not to wear gloves etc. so i do think i have problems with my blood flow, and thats whats causing my nipples to turn purple too, even though i was in a warm bath. weird isnt it

I have this too....just googled it as I am in pain after a shower....with one purple mottled nipple......ouch

I get this too everyday! I have reynauds in my hands an dfeet so that wouldnt surprise me if thats what it is!

i have always suffered from the cold and my hands/feet get really really painful and stop working properly when they are cold. I noticed a while back that my "larger" breast (the whole thing) turns mottled purple when its cold... or if i am int he shower/bath... and also now since pregnancy both my nipples have gone dark purple... and iv had the shooting pains for a long time which is only alleviated by pinching the nipple.

last night it was so painful! i spent all night tossing and turning and when i got sleep the pain woke me up! i even woke up my OH as i was nearly crying from it, lasted around half a hour and i wasnt even cold ugh
