Hello All,

I have been trying to fish around for this information as it pertains to Family Law in Canada, but couldn't find anything. I am wondering if anyone on this board may have gone through a similar thing and could offer some guidance/direction.

I was a resident of the province of Ontario for 12 years, however I have just moved to the province of Quebec and this is where I will be having my baby and living for the next year or two if all goes well.

FOB is outside of the country on the island of St Marteen (a collectivity in the Caribbean governed by France and Holland).

He has repeatedly acknowledge his paternity to his child (through several emails and other messages) and although he has been ignoring me for some time, I have his contact information, know where he lives and knows of his family back in St Marteen.

Is there any possibility that I could get him to pay child support through our legal system here in Canada and have it enforced even though he's not in the country?

Any help on that topic would be helpful.

Thanks a bunch!!!!

i know there is an organisation called REMO, Ive tried it (but got nowhere) as FOB is spanish and im from the uk. In my case I had to prove a legal document for the spanish authority to persue my case, and I have been unable to get that document, grrrr.
