Putting a pillow under fitted sheet

I have put a pillow under a very tight fitted sheet since lo was 2 months old for reflux. It has never moved an inch. I don't see how it could be a suffocation hazard due to being under a tight fitted sheet?

You're supposed to tilt the mattress from underneath it not under the sheet. So put the pillow under the mattress to lift it slightly.

Yup, this.

Our LO had awful reflux and we used to tilt his Moses basket with books between the basket and the frame. I'm not sure how you'd tilt a cot as the mattress should fit properly to the frame so baby can't become wedged.

Oh and to clarify as my previous post wasn't too clear - we have a breathable waterproof mattress protector.

I was told to do this for reflux with my twins. One of the twins nearly choked on her vomit and they need to be elevated. I personally don't see the suffocation risk if the are place high on the pillow.
