Question about HCG Levels on my Blood Test

So I have not heard back from my Dr yet, only the lab. The women from the lab was fairly rushed on the phone but she told me my HCG level was NEGATIVE 1.20 as in -1.20. I have been searching for what this means...and I am now so confused. My DR has not looked at the results yet so I will have to wait it out until he calls. Anyone ever heard of Negative HCG levels? Could she have read it wrong? I see other threads about having 3, or 4....but nothing on a -1.20. Maybe she meant 120? LOL

I wish I could delete that whole thread I just created.

...talked to my Dr. He said that the HCG test result was in negative...but did not elaborate on a negative number...he basically just said "Look, you arent pregnant...you just need to relax". Ha! Relax.

I don't think they meant a negative value; any value under 5 is considered *negative*. I'd interpret that as the level being 1.2, and therefore *negative*.

Sorry this happened to you. I had a chemical last month and understand the disappointment.

Thanks Fire. I think the lady at the lab interpreted "<" as "negative". It is disappointing...and we weren't TTC. I hate this.
