Question about language filter

Hi SC... quick question for you or anyone who may know this answer.

What does the word bast*rd get censored and the word fucking does not?

I was ranting and thought it was strange.

because the word 'fucking' doesn't offend unmarried parents but the other one can (and has in the past). As this is a forum for adults we can't ban all vulgarities (no more than you can in real life), instead we sensor words based on offence potential.

Having said that as this is a public forum we do keep an eye on posts that have excessive amounts of swearing.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... that make sense. I wasn't meaning the word in that way and NEVER use it in that way so I was not even thinking! My bad! Thanks!

Its hard because we use alot of words lightly over here that are really offensive across the pond..... I try really really hard to make sure I watch what I say
