Usually this is how my period is:

I have red heavy flow from day 1 until day 3 lessening at the end of day 3.. on day four my period stops.. literally stops.. then at night I see brown spotting and wake up again to heavy bleeding. Period lasts for 5 days.

Would I be suffering from Antiphospholipid syndrome? I also see lots of blood clots.

I am still waiting for my period after the suction and curettage. I will check how that goes.

If you're worried, go and have a chat with your doc maybe????

But it just may be how your body works??!!! I woldn't worry about it if it doesn't cause pain. :hi:

Go to the doctor to make sure everything is okay and that way you will be sure :hugs:

Suzan, better make an appointment with GP to put your mind at rest. Lots of women get clotting type blood with their period.

My periods were quite similar. I did have months where I'd have lots of blood clots, especially when I was younger but was told it's ok as long as they're no bigger than a 50p. I also used to have my period stop and brown discharge followed by more heavy bleeding. Was really annoying because I never knew for sure if it was over with!

I agree with some of the others, it's best to have it checked by the doctor.

I did some reasearch and found out the blood clots during periods are common. It differs when you see a big one from the usual small ones. I never saw a big blood clots, they are always small.

I think I am worrying over nothing. My mom has always had this as well.
Why can't I empty my brain for a second?!!?!?!?:hissy:

I used to get clots while I was on bcp. My gyn told me it was normal and due to the pill. After stopping the bcp I didn't get clots anymore...
I am sorry, I am trying to remember, but didn't you say you were taking some ttc meds or were going to?? I am sorry again if I am wrong about this...but maybe if you are, they could be causing more build up of the walls...and that could cause the clots coming out...:hugs:

Hi Suzan

If you are worried, get it checked out. Cant do any harm and a peace of mind for you xx

sorry Suzan, I got you mixed up with someone else :( I agree with all, maybe you can just call your docs and speak to a gyn over the phone about what is going on...:hugs:
