Hi girls

Just wondered if i could ask a question from a mum to be about names...

Me and hubby have a name in mind for our little man but im hesitant to use it or tell people incase he is born and really dosnt suit the name.

So im wondering if you did choose a name for your baby before they were born did you stick to it or change it?

thanks
x

Maley was Amy.....but she didnt suit it and at a few weeks old she was called Maley

we chose a name but we were open minded that if the baby didn't look like his/her name we would look at alternatives :)

We chose Erin before she was born and we stuck to it. xx

I choose a name with my 2 girl but didnt stick to them
but wen i was preg with samuel i stuck with the same name x

I didn't even know my first was going to be a girl when we picked her name,
(sophie-louise)
and we picked Dylan's name before he was born.

Once your LO is born hun you will know if the name
you have picked is right or not. xx

we had picked Olivia or Dominique

At 34 weeks we deceided that it was to be Olivia and stuck with it

i picked leyla-grace before my 20week scan lol, i had a girl name picked and a boy name

tbh when she was first born i didnt think it suited her and it felt kind of weird calling her it because it was my bumps name, but i still liked it so she kept it, now i think it suits her cos i know her as it...if that makes sense!

thanks!

I think im worried that if i start calling him the name, then when he's born i dont like it ill feel silly but thats hormones probably hehe

We choose jacob before he was born it was the only name we liked :) XxX

dont feel silly lol, if u dont like it then change it, no ones gna think ur silly hehe

We had a our names already picked out, but had a few back ups in case she didn't look like an Erin. Luckily she did! Its okay to change your mind too and don't feel you have to tell people what name you've picked out. We kept ours a secret - couldn't be bothered with everyone giving us their input x

I picked Lexie right at the very beginning, lol. And I got so used to it when I was pregnant, it felt like she was already here, I was referring to "bump" as "when our lexie...etc" So when she came it was just the same, it didn't feel any different :)

Benn my first was going to be Jake and when he was born he didnt suit it and it didnt feel right calling him it so it got changed after a few hours. Then with Ellie ive always said if i had a girl id call her Ellie but i had so many people sticking their hooter in trying to put me off so i had a few back up names but deep down i wanted Ellie. It felt strange for the first few weeks calling her Ellie but soon got used to it and now she really is an Ellie. Id try and keep your name secret so many ppl have different views and it can really spoil it.

ellie is such a good name :p

people didnt really have any opinion about leyla cos i already told them it was deffo being that and if they didnt like it then tough lol

We chose Seren before she was born, and we stuck to it, although I wasn't sure at first whether or not it suited her, but turns out it did.

Yeah we had our names all picked out pretty much from the word go, didnt find out which sex LO was going to be so as soon as he was placed on my chest i shouted to OH 'We have a Max!!!!' :) xx

we had three names picked out - maddilynne, caitlyn and regan. we'd chosen hope before she was born and stuck with it :) maddi was actually regan for the first couple of hours of her life!!!

We had Sienna all the way through and stuck to it but did have sine back-up names incase it didnt suit her xx
