Question about reusable nappies

Hiya ladies

just a quick question...

I'm using Totsbots nappies & wraps, but my question is.. how tight do you fasten the outer wrap?

When I fasten the wraps no matter how loose I put them on, when Charlie sits up they look like they really dig in his belly! I feel awful.

I don't put them on that tight. I find it is the nappy that is tighter round his belly, whatever way I put on the nippa it is just quite snug but it doesn't seem to annoy my baby. I think the wrap needs to be quite snug fitting though so that the wet parts of the nappy inside don't poke out and touch his clothes and wet them.....

Btw my baby is "solidly" built and I think the sizes are quite skimpy in tots bots, eg the size 2 20lb+ (they say will do for a toddler!!!) was very very neat on him at 19 lb. Maybe try a size up.
