Question for anyone whos taken Metformin

Hi, just wondering, met is making me feel really nauseated!
I started 500mg once a day for 3 days, I'm now on the 4th day so I'm taking 1000mg for three days and then I'm meant to go up to 1500mg after another three days...

Since taking the met I've been feeling really nauseated- how Long does it take for these side effects to settle down???

I built up to 1500mg as well on Metformin, and always felt suuuuper nauseated. I couldn't hardly eat anything! It took about a month or two for it to subside - but it eventually did, and it doesn't bother me at all anymore. Hang in there!

For me the side effects went away after a week of taking the pills. But the best advice I was given was to take them after meals and to take them before bed so they wouldnt bother me. I have to take them twice a day at 750mgs.

Thanks ladies, I stopped today it was making me feel so weak and sick I literally couldn't do it anymore I even started getting some light headness

But I'm starting the IVF process next cycle so I just decided to give up on the met....
I'm not usually a giver upper- I've even injected meds but this one got the best of me, it didn't agree with me at all
