Question for Mummys who had a sweep

Thought it be best in here girls if ok ...

For any of you who had a sweep how did you feel afterwards if you remember and did it calm down if baby didn't arrive?

I asked because in the best way I can describe ...

I felt ok at first and managed to walk home
I became tightly uncomfortable (only way I can describe it)
I went to bed for couple of hours
Woke up ok but then became tightly uncomfy again
I managed to walk to the shop < if you could even call it walked
Stomach is VERY uncomfy in a tightly feeling
Movements are pretty painful
Tightening under bump and around back that go on and off
When I walk its like with my legs closed she feel SO LOW that she feels like shes going to drop out
I am EXTREMELY uncomfy

So is it sweep related?

i was like that and nothing changed, and then ended up with an emergency c-section lol

i remember it giving me lower back pains about 2 days after having it, the next day labour started.....

hope it's not long for you!

Sounds similar to my first 2 sweeps. The third and final one I didnt feel any different as I felt like that all the bloomin time by then.......but my waters went 12hrs later.

yeah i had a heavy uncomfortable crampy feeling - 2nd sweep brought my labour on x x

I had one sweep. I felt like i ws going into labour went to sleep then nothing i was booked in for me second on the friday morning but i went through the night so didnt need that sweep

It wasn't a sweep but when I was 40 + 2 days, the midwife did an internal to see if she could do a sweep but my cervix was closed and not low enough and I was 3/5ths. I ended up going into labour a couple of days later!

sounds similar to my sweep... I had ALOT of discharge too... but it ended up settling down after 2 days and nothing came of it hopefully tho this will be it for you! good luck!

i Had a sweep when i were overdue and i started getting pains, then next day i had really bad pains and lost my plug then next day i had him x

I had a sweep when i was 5 days overdue.

I remember feeling very achey and started getting regular pains for a few hours after. Then fell asleep, when i woke the pains had gone but kept loosing loads of plug. Went to bed that night and was woken at 7 the next morning by my waters breaking in a massive gush and contractions 2 mins apart!!! had my son that day.

I had a sweep on the tuesday and went into labour on the wednesday night. I had felt like things were happening straight after the sweep but it stopped that night then started again the next day. Good luck.

I missed the post.

I dont get to come on often during the day, I work full time. Cant say I ever go in third tri either so until I got to general chatter i was clueless so thanks for the whole lets laugh at me thing but im not telepathic
