Question RE Turners syndrome.

Hello ladies.

Just curious what test is done for this?
OH's sister has turners syndrome and I wondering if the doctor will test our baby for it and if so how it's done.

Turners carries the same soft markers as some of the trisomies. The first would be your free hcg and PAPPA-A blood work at 10 weeks. Then your 12 week NT scan. If an anomoly is picked up you can have a CVS before 13 weeks to check for it.

My doctor doesn't do a a 12 week usually. I wonder if he will do one because of it being in the family.

As far as I'm aware, Turner Syndrome is random and not passed down from family.

I know it's one of the things my doctor asks about at the first appointment that and trisomy and downs in the family so I was just curious if he would test for it.
Your right and it doesn't look genetic though.
