Question to fellow MC ladies...

The doctor told me that we have to wait until after one
AF to try again. How long did it take you until AF arrived again? Did it go back to normal pretty quickly.

I lost my baby at 5+6 weeks. Hoping to be back and ttcing soon.

I'm interested in this too, we haven't been told to wait or anything yet. Still waiting for everything to stop after natural m/c at almost 10 weeks. It's been a week now since the bleeding started.

We both want to try again asap. However I understand it probably makes sense to wait for one cycle first. I hope it goes back to normal asap.

I lost mine at almost 6 weeks. And waiting still for the doctor to tell us. Although the nurse I talked to said that mostly if everything is fine, they want you to wait at least one cycle until you start again. I want to try right away again just dh is kind of still very hurt by it and don't know if he is ready. I hope he heals soon.

I feel you wanting to start asap, I feel the exactly the same and am frustrated waiting for my body to get back to normal.

Thankfully my OH is keen to get going asap as well. It may have something to do with his age though! I hope your OH feels better soon, is it the emotional side of things which makes him reluctant to try asap?

I had a mc at 8 weeks, I did ttc straight away thinking that it wouldn't be a problem but glad I didn't as I had a scan 4 weeks after my mc that showed an area of bleeding in my endometrium which from my research could have caused problems if I had conceived.

Luckily after my 1st af I had a follow up scan that showed the bleed had gone and my endometrial thickness was normal, I was then given the go ahead to ttc. My af arrived around 4-5 weeks post mc.

I understand being desperate, I was in the same place but for me it was a good thing getting the all clear first. Wishing you all the best x

Yes, good point cupcake, I am waiting for my scan on 27 July to confirm that everything has cleared and hopefully will get the green light to TTC again.

Hey so sorry for your loss..
I know how it feels. I had my mc at 7 weeks and was quite lucky to have my first af back on time after 4 weeks! But everyone's different and everyone's bodies react differently.. its just the waiting game i can say!

Yeah he thinks it be best for us. Seeing as i'd probably over worry if i get pregnant right away and i think he just isn't ready yet. He told me yesterday that he thought he wouldn't be ready at all anymore but to his surprise he is. I get that he needs time and I realized yesterday after coming home from the hospital that i do too. I broke out in tears right when i stepped into the house. It was like i was home and i could cry. Also having to put all the baby stuff away wasn't easy either.. I do think i need the time to heal. but I also can't wait till we start trying again. At least i won't be freaking much anymore.. I know for a fact now that we can get pregnant and that makes me feel much better about ttc'ing.

I'm glad though that you and OH want to keep going hopefully it'll happen right away again

I think my first cycle was like 38 days? Mine were always 30-31 normally.

thanks everyone me and DH won't be trying yet. Not until we get the all clear from the doctor but we did BD yesterday. we just couldn't wait anymore and i have stopped bleeding so i think everything should be fine.

Although it happened so fast that he couldn't pull out.. hopefully this one time wont do it right away.. Don't think so.. I wouldnt be ovulating so fast after the mc. It was just 5 days ago. But i still can't wait till we start trying again.. Hope it won't take long for us to conceive this time again

Hi, I had a medically managed misscarriage at 14 weeks (baby died at 12 weeks). I was told there was no need to wait. I had to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after MC to make sure I got a negative and then I was good to go again.
I have not had my first AF yet, but I believe I ovulated 3 weeks after miscarraige, so I would expect AF 5 weeks after miscarraige. Although we have already started trying again, so fingers crossed AF does not show!

yeah as far as i hear its ok to start right away. although my doctor told me to at least wait until after the first AF just so you know your body is back to normal. I think they fear that the egg can't implant right if you go to early. Although i know a few ladies that got pregnant right then after the MC and they all ended up having perfectly healthy pregnancies and babies so I guess if it happens it happens. It could happen the same right after or months later. So that's my opinion. me and DP are just waiting because my Parents are coming for a visit this month now and then i have the court date for my divorce that i've been waiting for years and then after that we decided to try again. That way we can focus on the wedding and trying

And hopefully by then i will have had enough time to really recover mentally ^^ i think physically i am ok. Bleeding has stopped and no pain.. And they called today for my bloods and said it's going down nicely. It's now at 70 and i will go again this week to take some more blood and then hopefully by then it'll be totally gone.

Hey! Were in the same boat. I mc june 20th with d&c 21st bleed for 12 days. And started trying right away. I have no idea if i ovulated or when. Its been 27 days. Im either pregnant again or period is a brewing. Having breast tenderness and uterus cramps since yesterday. Going crazy over here. Praying for sticking beans for ALL

i haven't done any tests anymore.. Only have one left and kinda wanna keep it for when i think i am again but i might just to see if its still pos.. Supposed to go to the doc to it tested again in a few days. So we'll see if it went down totally. well me and DH have BD'd lately and accidently didn't pull out... can you ovulate so soon after the mc? because i had ewcm yesterday and don't know if thats still from the Hcg being in a system or something else... Don't know but let me know how it goes for you guys
