so this is my facebook status:
haha Gracie kicks my phone off me everytime someone texts me!!!! Loving my little one. Gracelynn Elizabeth & Jacob Daniel

and my cousin replies back:
I would not put your cell phone on your stomach due to the strong waves that the cell phone puts out seeking signals and during calls or texts. There is actually a lot of research out there about whether overusing a cell phone affects one's health. Just a tip.

is that true on my wat my cousin said?
that it can affect someones health?

UPDATE

This is one that he jus posted again
Mike Stull It's all a trade off - do the potential benefits outweight the health risks. Cell phones give off radiation. It's absorbed by your body. Whether its an amount that will cause harm is debateable.

I just put it on there today to see what she did cause she was kicking alot. its like i know im 17 and ur almost 30 but i dont need to be harped at about it all the time

Hmm I would say its bullshit, theres definatly no research to suggest it otherwise doctors would tell us!

Think about all the stuff we are advised against doing- we would definatly be told if it caused any harm.

I would tell your cousin to wind her neck in :haha:

xx

that is someone with their behind very far up their ass!!
don't worry xx

Surely your midwife or doctor would tell you that...i'm pretty sure baby is well protected in there!

thats what i said,
my doctor would tell me if it was a risk
cause he asked me bout her kicking and everything
and i told him the story about my phone on my tummy and he said nothing

I've asked, there is no research, but why chance it? They still havent decided whether cell phone radiation gives you brain cancer or helps fight off Alzheimer's. Personally I keep my phone away from my stomach, but thats just my choice.

Actually there was a news report on CNN just about a month ago that said that there's been research about brain cancer because people overusing cellphones.

They say to not talk on the phone as much as possible, and not to keep the phone next to your head. My mom flipped once she saw this and told me to start talking to people on speaker.

I don't really know if this is true, but it was a report on the news that I personally saw.

Might just wanna be cautious, :hugs:
xx

I've heard about people using phones quite alot can do some damage (apparently) Don't actually know the statistics on that one.
But I guess as long as the phone wasn't ringing/recieving a text then it would be okay?
I really don't know for sure though hun.
x

It's all just these crazy theories that people come up with, someone that once used a mobile phone ended up with cancer, and they put 2 + 2 together and got 5. I wouldn't worry about it :) x

Yeah, so who knows?
It might be something or might not?
I wouldn't worry too much though.

I bet they said similar things about that anti-nausea drug that ended up causing severe birth defects. Obviously nothing like that would happen, but cell phones are constantly looking for service and constantly admitting radiation. Even sounds wave have been scrutinized as possibly causing harm to an unborn child, which is why ultrasounds are considered best for medical purposes and a lot of people look down on 3d scans. There are a lot of silly things we avoid, like meat products that are not cooked a certain way out of the chance they may have bacteria in them, and avoiding bike riding or horse back riding on chance of injury.
lol bit of a rant, just throwing out an alternate view.
