Hi

I return to work in two weeks and have had a chat with tax credits. Basically I gave them 2010/11 income and they renewed my 11/12 award on that income, I then did an 11/12 estimate and I will earn about 13k less this year than last (due to job role changing and commission etc) I called them and ran through it, got the new award but should it be backdated to April ?

The new award is from last Thursday 1st June?

The Tax Credit Office can usually only backdate your claim for a period of up to three months from the date they get your form.
