Quinn's Birth Story

Hi Girls!

I had my little boy on 20th June at 7.18pm weighing 7lbs 14oz. He is perfect & we called him Quinn Joshua.

I had my show at 6pm on Tuesday 19th
Mild contractions started at 9.30pm
Waters went at 12.45am on 20th
Went to bed and contractions had slowed down but then built from 11am on 20th being 10 minutes apart to 5 minutes apart by 4.30pm

His arrival was pretty speedy in the end after my contractions went from being every five minutes to every two in the space of half an hour. I was in the hospital for 15 minutes before pushing and had him within the hour. Our hospital was too busy and they closed the ward so we had to go across the city in rush hour which was a little stressful for DH but we made it!

Ended up having him with NO pain relief as my paracetamol had worn off and there wasn't time but it wasn't that bad. I did have to get stitched up afterwards because of the speed he came at but luckily I had some drugs by then and haven't really been in any pain since.

Don't be too scared girls, it certainly wouldn't put me off doing it again xx
