Raised nerve in eye?

I went to the opticians the other day and she picked uo that I had a raised nerve in my left eye. I have a diagnosis of of SUNCT and trigeminal neuralgia (don't ask me what SUNCT uis both are painful nerve conditions with pains and I have numbness as well) I'm on medication to control this it's been worse recently but I have a hospital appointment in April . Is it safe to leave it until then or head to GP? My GP generally says to wait until I see my consultant. Has anyone had this before (raised nerve)

I think the best thing to do would be to phone the optician and ask her.

She has written to my GP so I ended up making an appointment there for tomorrow
