random day FSH/LH bloods

Hi everyone, I'm new to here, but have been using other TTC message boards for a while. Decide to move in here as I've found this site very informative and the pain of hanging around a regular TTC forum gets a bit much sometimes with people appearing to get BFP's instantly.. whilst I'm happy for them, it's hard when you've been hanging around for a while.

Anyway, I contacted my GP surgery about my long and irregular cycles last week, I temp so I know I ov eventually but my cycles are between 34-50+ days, so I've asked for blood tests and then got to see a GP this Friday for results. They did me a form for FSH/LH, TSH and FBC bloods (I'm a nurse so understand the basic bits and bobs). But what my question is - is that I have had my blood taken today and am on CD 31, FF shows as I've suspected that I haven't OV'd yet - although I've had EWCM since last night so I believe my body is gearing up to it any day. Will such random day FSH/LH test show anything as I've read that they are usually done early on in the cycle.

If everything comes back fine, I will ask for cd 2-5 bloods to be done I think.

FSH is usually done cd2/3 and progesterone at 7dpo, whenever that is....maybe ask for them to be done again next month depending on the results? Good luck hun. XX
