Ughh ! Seem's like Health Services just keeps messing upp !
Soo . My little princess was born on September 6th, 2011. We were released on September 8th, 2011. The next day, we had Health Services come by just to do a regular check up. The day after and the day after that was the exact same.
When she was 5 days old, we had one come by and she weighed her .. She lost 12% of her birthweight. She was born 7 pounds 14 ounces .. That day she was 6 pounds 9 ounces.
When she was 13 days old, we took her to get weighed .. After seeing she was 7 pounds 8 ounces, they said she only gained one ounce since the home visit ..
I got home, and realized the numbers the nurse marked down at our home visit and the next visit I explained it to the Health Services and they said "oh, we must have gotten the numbers mixed up!" .. like it was no big deal . Well, it's not - but when it comes to my daughter, I want her weight to be watched BIG TIME considering she had severe jaundice her first week until we had to do phototherapy!
On Monday we took her in once again and she was 7 pounds 11 ounces .. They said since she was three ounces off her birth weight, bring her in on Thursday (today) to get weighed again ..
So I took her in today, and surprisingly she was 8 pounds 1.4 ounces ! I was soo happy ! She's over her birth weight and completely healthy finally !
After showing my happiness, the nurse says "only a few more ounces until she's back to her birthweight!" I asked what she meant considering she is OVER her birthweight now ..
She showed me the record, and on record they have it shown she was born 8 pounds 5 ounces and her discharge weight was 7 pounds 14 ounces . I said okay, listen ! I have a PICTURE of her just coming out of me on the scale and she was born 7 pounds 14 ounces ! She was not weighed at discharge ..
Once again she goes "oh, we must have the numbers messed up!" AGAIN ..
I know it's not that big of a deal - but it just makes me feel like they don't even care about my child's health considering they constantly getting her weight numbers mixed up ! It makes me upset knowing that we take time out of our day to go in there and see the numbers on the scale for ourselves, but their employees can't take the moment out of their day to look at the exact same scale and write down the exact number !!
I just wish they showed they actually cared about her ! ! Sorry for the long rant, but I had to express myself someway about it ! It just really made me upset!! Thanks for listening
But anyways - The good thing is she's 8 pounds 1.4 ounces !! Oh my goodness ! My little baby is getting soo big . She's doing amazing now though finally !
