I have to rant on here or I may lose it....

It is 23.25 on Tuesday night and I last slept at 9am Monday morning. My daughter would just not go down for any period of time last night or today. I tried to go to bed at 19.45 tonight for a nap but she cried so much that dh brought her upstairs by 20.30 as she needed feeding.

I love her with all my heart and always knew that a baby would be hard work, but I'm really starting to think she doesn't like me or love me. I just want to feel like im doing something right.

Oh hun, lots of hugs to you. How old is lo? The lack if sleep can feel like torture I know, but just try to remember it will not be forever. You will sleep again I promise.
She loves you I promise and you are doing nothing wrong.

Ah Honey, we've all been there. I hope it picks up for you soon :( Rest when you can x

I know it's hard! As my dad told me before we had lo baby doesn't know how to cry or be upset to get at you they cry for a reason! Which is true. I doesn't make you feel any better as it's hard to be a mind reader! It will pass you will get sleep eventually. If you bf why not express so your oh can persevere with lo and let you nap! X

The lack of sleep can really feel like torture at times. It is OK to pump and have your DH give her a bottle....the longer you go without any sleep at all the worse you will feel, trust me by the time my LO was 4 weeks old I was having hallucinations and then developed insomnia as a result, she never slept more than 40 minutes at a time and was BF constantly. it is very draining, there is no reason why you shouldn't try to get some rest....don't be like me, I'm still suffering the results 8 months later

:hugs: Been there and really feel for you. As pp said get rest when you can. 9 months on and I still have a lo who doesn't like sleep much but, is soooooooo much better than the early days. I have a rest when I can so I feel more refreshed. It gets better every day at least she can sleep 5 hours a night ( even if its not regular) Expressing really helps and means that your oh can do one feed for you and give you a break. Good luck :flower:
