Morning all!

I heard that you can start taking raspberry leaf supplements from 32 weeks to hhelp soften your cervix etc in preparation for labour. I've got some tablets with 500mg of red raspberry leaf, and am 33 weeks tomorrow. For some reason, I'm really nervous about taking them! I know they don't start you off or anything, but I just feel like I shouldn't for some reason

Did anyone else start taking raspberry leaf at 32 or 33 weeks? If you have, how much did you take?

I thought (and I may be completely wrong I just think I read it somewhere on here) that you can start DRINKING rlt from 32 weeks but that the capsules are a lot stonger so shouldn't be started til a bit later, like 35 weeks. But like I said I dunno how reliable I am :haha: xxx

i started taking 2 everyday at 35 weeks. the woman at the shop said not to take them until 37 weeks and that they took two weeks to start working so i figured if i started at 35 weeks i would be full term by the time they work. i up the amount by one each week.

my midwife said not to take till 35 weeks at least (tablets or tea drink).. as you wanna keep bubs in there as close to full term as possible (for their health)... and they take 2 weeks to work (like kirsty said)...
personally i'd say not to till 35 weeks for either, although actualy tea, maybe a bit later? but it's up to you.. and aparently the tea works slightly quicker as it's a liquid and it travels to that area quicker.. sorry if tmi, but it's mixed with water, so kinda just passes through quickly and softens the area..
xxxx

Oh wow I was right!! Heehee I feel a bit proud  x
