Raspberry Leaf Feedback

1st time around I did RLT, when in to labour 39+4. labour wasn't too terrible about 6 hours but didn't feel pain or contractions until 3/4 hours in, pushing didn't hurt and no tears.

2nd time went in to labour 39+0. I did RLT and EPO, labour was 44 mins, same again, no tears, pushing was fast but it was second baby. My water broke to let me know labour had star,t but didn't have no pain until the end.

I drank RLT in tea form and took the capsules from about 32 weeks and had my daughter at 37 weeks, so was only on them about a month. I can't say they helped much for me. My overall labour was a manageable and easy 12 hours, but my 2nd stage lasted 4 hours! But I also think that this had a lot to do with my labour slowing down (because the midwives kept annoying me with too much monitoring and that made my contractions fizzle out too much) and also because my daughter was posterior and was turning during this time. So really my body was doing what it was supposed to to get her out easily and safely, but it just meant that the 2nd stage had to be a bit long. I would definitely consider taking them again though (as well as minimizing the monitoring that slowed everything down too).

I drank it from 32 weeks, I had a difficult labour - back to back (ouch) and stalled at 6cm for about 8 hours. Some would say it didn't work but I actually think it made an even worse labour not so bad, I had an epidural and drugs to kick start contractions and I was told I'd need forceps, but the baby moved down really well and I pushed him out in 5 mins. I don't think we can avoid difficult labours but I think EPO (which I also took) and RLT do help things along. And if not, then there's no harm :).
