Question for you ladies, hoping you can help.

So for A's christmas/birthday present this year (yes Im already thinking about it :haha: ) me and my brother are building her a play kitchen.

I thought MDF would work well (Plus you can pick it up cheap in Ikea in their bargain corner, but my brother thinks this will be difficult to work with because once the edges are sanded down, they will 'fray' what with MDF being made of compressed woods. (Although im sure my wood tech classes at school, we always used MDF)

So he now thinks Plywood would be better, but i've just seen the price in B and Q for one sheet, and its so much more then I thought it would be (£25 each)

So, do you think it could be made with MDF, or will I have to go for the Plywood?

Have any of you ever built a play kitchen?

:flower:

As far as I know you can get protective edges for the compressed wood. So that would protect from any splintering- Don't think you can sand it down really.
