I have always breastfed Sofia, in the last month or so she has been getting really pissy with me whilst feeding (and after), dunno if I'm producing less milk in pregnancy or what but her Dr told me to try her on formula before bed.
Just giving that info as I know nothing about formula and need your help
So last month he said to try a HA milk as we have allergies in the family, and recommended Aptamil. She was ok for about 3 days and then started getting loads of blood filled diarrhoea nappies and was vomiting. I took her to the hospital (totally freaked out on a weekend) and they told me it was just normal reaction to the change in nutrition. As it was we were going on holiday the next day so I just didn't bother with the formula again. It took a week for the diarrhoea to clear up.
Then about 2 weeks ago I decided to give it a try again. She was fine for about a week, I was giving her it really watered down at first 3 scoops instead of 7 and then slowly upping it. And then she started being ill again, much more vomit this time, a lot more blood in the poo and two nights of her being in screaming agony and me having to hold her knees up to her chest to stop the pain.
Don't care if that's meant to be a normal reaction, I knew what was causing it so I stopped!
Sorry, bear with me on this... so she's still pissy after her feeds, before bed especially. I tried even giving her cows milk but she won't drink it. This morning a friend told me that hypoallergenic formulas are known for causing stomach problems and I just wanted to know if anyone else had had the same and what formulas you tried and did it make any difference... help!
