Ready to feed formula

I wish we could afford cartons only, because they're much quicker and easier to use, but sadly we have to use powdered form.

I only use the cartons. Is pricy but far more convenient. I use Aptimal and I find it at Asda Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury, Co-Op, etc. Cheapest place so far is Asda (57p per carton). My daughter seems to like it but I think it makes her windy (am weaning her now so less so) but I also give her water and gripe water to help combat this. I have heard that cartoned formula can make babies constipated but I think this can apply to all types of formula, tbh.

Boots & Sainsburys are selling it at 57p now too.

I use both, powder for home, ready made for when we go out.

I mainly use powder but always have a carton in my bag 'just in case'. Great stuff, and so easy however I find it a bit too pricy to use cartons long term!

x

I find it too pricey - Emms has 6 feeds a day at the moment so that would work out at approx. £100 a month!!! Plus there's all that packaging... However I do always have a couple in the cupboard for emergencies and for when we go out and about. They are very handy.

I just use these for when i'm out of the house. Saves having to think about warming a bottle up of powered as they can be served at room temp.

I only use ready made F. It's much easier since me & OH work. A little pricey, but worth it. I tried the powder once. I didn't make it right, so was scared to try again cause the container said making it wrong could be very dangerous

I use the ready to feed cartons for night feeds but during the day make her feeds up from the powder.

it doesnt have to be so expensive though, i use 2 big cartons in a day most of the time, and they are only £1.05 each

i can get 4 x 8oz bottles or 5 x 7oz bottles out of 2 big cartons

I used cartons all the time until LO was 2 months old. Now we use 3 powdered bottles per day and the rest cartons.

Unfortunately aptimil only comes in the 200ml cartons so it does get a bit pricey - I think it's worth the price though for the convenience.

We just use the ready made cartons! It makes life so easy! X

I used to use cartons for out and about but got waaay too expensive. Imi was up to 210/240ml very quickly and meant 2 cartons per feed. She has anywhere between 9 and 12oz per feed 4 times a day now so would cost me a fortune!

I use powdered at home and cartons when out or if he needs a night feed (which he doesn't every night). You can't beat them for convenience and you don't have to worry about storing or making feeds if you go out. They are pricey though but I order mine from Tesco.com 5 trays at a time which is much easier X

The cartons are far easier I have bought them occasionaly but usually stick to the powder as the cartons are pricey.

Its nice to know I am not the only one who uses them. I find it so much easier with 2 other children and everything else to do. Its just a pain to get them. Our local chemist doesnt sell them or tesco and I ordered some from boots only to get them all battered where they hadnt packed them properly.
