ooookkkaay, so just wanna guage what you ladies all have/prefer when it comes to the infamous christmas tree.. :D

We always have a real tree, but this year may be our first year of having to get a fakey :( Only because we now have no space (house has been taken over with baby things) and whenever I have gone xmas tree shopping in the past the little ones always look so sorry for themselves, which is why we always end up with a 7 footer, despite really not having the space for it

so what do you all go for? and if you go fake is that coz you dont like the hassle of real trees, or because of space/money?

(and if anyone can suggest any decent fakes then please share)

xx

fake in the past because we always put the tree up super early because we took it down before going to Texas, this year we are staying home and hoping to have a real one (space was also an issue in our old place)

Fake but would like a real one but its just not practical, much easier with fake lol x

fake, its cheaper and i cant be arsed cleaning all the mess up every 5 minutes, esp with a baby she'd be trying to eat it

Fake, i like real ones if i ever had a real one id get it with roots to plant in the garden after i just dont get the idea of cutting down a tree to die in a living room. Lol i do love xmas honest

real everytime! Never had a fake one accept while at uni. Just get the bit more expensive norwegian spruce and the needles hardly ever drop :)

Fake !!

We had a real one a few years ago and it was a bloody nightmare having to vacumme every 10 minutes!

My MIL tries that every year...and every year the tree dies in her back garden and she has to dig it up again anyway  she is really green-fingered too so it must be harder than it looks! I must admit, it is a pain in the bum getting rid of a real xmas tree after xmas is over. at least with a fake one you just shove it back in the loft for the spiders to live in until the following year

We used to have a fake tree, but every single year something would happen to it (the cats in one year knocked it over and busted every ornament I had on the tree, and another year the fake tree was in our attic and a tree from outside fell on our house and ruined everything in our attic. So now, we do real trees and real trees only. I love the smell of a real tree.

i've always had fake, but thats because my parents bought me a small fibre optic 1 when i got my own flat. and after they died i "took over" their bigger fibre optic 1.

a real 1 would die to quickly in my house as i have my heating on all the time day/night due to my asthma (temp drops cause asthma attacks) so its a set temp all the time. therefore the heat drys out all plants etc.

mmm..that is one thing i would miss about a real tree. the smell!! you cant beat the smell of a real xmas tree!!! :nope:

i wont miss having to clear up the dropped needles every other day though. haha! and you are probably right about having a baby and real tree. it's bad enough trying to keep the cat away

Fake! Real ones are just not very practical and I dont really like the look of them x

Real this year, we tossed the fake out -- I complained I wanted that "real tree" smell and we wanted a real one for Elyse's first Christmas.

Fake! I've yet to find a really full real tree that looks half way as good as a fake one. If you invest a good fake one, they're fab! The real ones always looks so bare and if you ask for one over 9ft tall they're always actually about 5/6ft with a really tall bit on top :/

fake.
to me it doesnt make 1 bit of differance, its a xmas tree.

Fake! We have two cats - a real tree would be a nightmare!
