Realistic goal?

I've got 54lbs to loose and want to loose it by the time my MIL wedding is in June, that is 24 weeks away from today. If I loose on average 2-3lbs per week I will reach that goal by the time I go, is this really realistic? I'd love to be 54lbs lighter by then.
 
1-2 lbs is realistic but I wouldn't say 2-3 lbs can't happen! The goal is to do it the right way :) Do you have a nutrition plan to follow?
 
At a push but you don't want to deprive yourself. You mind find you lose 2-3 lbs a week at first anyway as the weight can come off quite fast at first but then it tends to slow down.
I would aim for your target but don't be disheartened if you don't reach your goal weight by the date of the wedding, because you will get there even if it takes a little longer. And you can still lose a lot of weight before the wedding even if it's not the whole amount.
