OK so this started 2 nights ago, I had some stupid door to door salesmen come to my door to try to sell me a water filtration system for my house, i agreed to sit through their little demo as I thought it would be fun for a little laugh and I didn't have anything planned (i know it's kind of sad when i have to say it out loud lol). their "little demonstration" proceeded to take 2 hours. which the majority of it was a demonstration done in my sink (leaving me standing for over an hour and a half straight). after they left DH and I got ready for bed. ever since that night I am getting severe stomach pain every time i lay down, but it's mainly when i try to roll over, I once in a while get a sharp stabbing pain when i'm sitting at work and go to stand up or something but the majority of the pain is at night. I didn't sleep at all last night, between stomach pain from rolling over and charlie horses i was in constant pain all night. does this sound normal? I don't know if I just over did it, or if its round ligament pain? any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think for any pain that's giving you discomfort, I'd have it checked out. For me, I get mega pains at night trying to turn over in bed. This is usually due to having a full bladder and the pain makes me feel sick! Are you used to being up and on your feet for long periods of time?

God I'm rubbish at this!! Haha!! My midwife has always said 'If you ever need help or advice on anything, ring us. We'd rather you ring and us tell you it's nothing than not hear from you and you suffer' I'd give them a quick ring.

Xxx

I sometimes get pains turning over when I sleep as well. And also when I'm sitting down at work for long periods of time. For me, I think it's gas. LOL. There are some foods that bloat me more than others. Milk makes me bloat and gassy and once I took that out of my diet, the pain has subsided.

I've noticed if I turn over too fast, stand up and stretch out too quickly, sit down too fast... I get these sharp pains. But they don't last for hours, just a minute or two and then it subsides. I think it's kind of like RL pains and the ligaments are just stretched for too harsh of movement.

If it's still bothering you today I'd just give your Dr a call. The Dr might ask you to come in but at most they'll do an u/s and check your cervix and if that looks normal they'll probably just tell you it's fine and a normal pain in pregnancy. But then you'd at least have assurance that everything is fine.

I had horrible stomach pains yesterday, too, and in my case, I think it had something to do with my intestines shifting to accommodate my growing uterus. I say this, because I felt some pressure, well above my uterus, and when I touched it, I could feel a hard lump, but then it went away (I can only imagine it was my intestines, not sure what else it could be!) and then I had pains for the rest of the day, but feel better today.

Anyway, if you're concerned you should call your doctor. They'll tell you whether it's something to worry about or not. :flower:
