i have had yet another bad day with the boys, and feel like i am failing them.

started at 5am when toddler woke me and baby up. never a good start fir baby, usyally means he will struggle all day.

we have had moments of good time, but then baby dtarts crying cos he is knackered, then toddler gets upset and i just can't cope.
then toddler gets bored cos i am trying to get baby to sleep, so i end up shouting.

then bedtime / bathtime is just a crying fest! as baby just cries and fusses at the time even wwith a bath.

usually hubby is homd by the time i am putting toddler to bed, but not tonight.

sorry for the pity post but am miserable!

i with you it takes me forever to get Lo settled as he has reflux i just about get him to sleep and DD will start screaming due to lack of attention then that wakes him back up an im sat hear with both of um screaming then i get in a tiz waz cos i dont knbow who i should deal with first :-/

:hugs: I know it may not seem it, but it will get better I promise! We started to see changes when Henry got to about 4-5 months. I know exactly how you are feeling and it's not nice :(

:hugs:
Like charlie says it will get better.... i have a toddler and a 6 month old and when Hayden turned about 4 months things definitely started getting better.
Have you tried white noise for settling your baby? I know i'm guilty of giving Tabitha some quavers or buttons if i know Hayden will need a bit of a cuddle to sleep! keep her out of trouble!

I remember days like that hun! If your toddler wakes, is there any chance you can go downstairs with them and leave the baby asleep? That's what I do and just have the monitor on.
I have seen an improvement just this week so yeah it does get better. Baby is up a lot more in the day which means I can play with both the baby and toddler on the floor at the same time. I don't have to rush to get breakfast done anymore coz he is content now to be left on his playmat. He also now goes to bed at the same time as toddler so my husband have that all important few hours to relax xx

I use anything and everything to bribe Tobes some days!

I try to leave Alex in bed, but as we co sleep in the early hours, as soon as I move, he wakes up! I am trying to get him back into his Moses, but no go yet. If he would stay asleep I def leave him to it!

Alex does ave decent awake time if he isn't Woken early. In which case outer days are good.

i used to be sooo strict on the 'bad' snacks.... thats all out the window!
if my 2 are really getting to me, i bundle everyone into the pram, walk to Tesco for a wee treat for me (wine or chocolate usually) then go via the playpark on the way home. The baby normally sleeps and Tabitha gets to burn off some energy at the park :)

Mmmmmmm chocolate....
We do similar, but... Alex rarely sleeps in his pram!

Hayden was a nightmare (in the nicest possible way...) but he had silent reflux and refused a dummy.. about 3 months the reflux went, then a few weeks later he started to take a dummy. I used to walk them in the pram and he would scream solidly for an hour so i know how you feel!
i used to dread leaving the house with him as i knew he would just scream
