Hey ladies,

Really need some advice here.

We have been TTC on and off for many months now. Conceived naturally on second try in 2007 but miscarried early on.

I do ovulate on my own. OH getting tests done on his sperm this week.

My main identifiable problem is that I have a short luteal phase – about 9-11 days. I started taking B100 complex a month ago, waiting for it to lengthen my LP.

Doc sent me for CD 21 tests and the results show all my levels including progesterone are normal.

Doc also gave me 3 cycles of Clomid and I took the first set in June. The clomid made me ovulate on CD 14 (usually CD 18) so that’s good but 10 days late I am already spotting.

So it seems to me that no matter how early or late I ovulate, my period always arrives about 10 days later.

If my CD 21 Progesterone levels are normal - a progesterone supplement is not going to help is it?

Please help me make sense of this and also advise me on what I should do next.

Many thanks…

Hey huni
I dont think you can change your LPhase, i think it always stays the same!!
I think to be honest if your tests come back ok then your ok! I think the clomid will help you ovulate later like cd14 which is good instead of cd1 but i dont think you can change your LP this always stays the same!!

And as far as the LP 10 days is not too short! I read "taking charge of your ferility" and the standard LP is around 7 to 14 days!! So i really wouldnt worry about it being 10 days!!

xxxx

It says i think in the book that its needs around 7days for the implantation to occur but your LP phase can not be changed this how many days from ovulation to your AF this is set, it can not be changed with any tablets..
Ovulation ltr is better for u it gives you more time to get the nookie in before cd14 and on cd14 to catch the egg rather then cd1 ovulation (which is early)
Good luck
xx

Hiya, i have a short luteal phase, i never managed more than 9 days, i usually would ovulate cd21 and AF would arrive around cd28, we were trying for 14 months before i became pregnant. All tests for me and hubby came back ok and medical people generally wouldn't listen to me despite me showing them charts from fertility friend and having clear blue monitor readings. I also had irregular cycles for a good 8 months of ttc which didn't help as i never knew when i was going to ovulate, this eventually seemed to sort itself out, i was taking Agnus Castus for about 6 months so not sure if it was that which regulated my cycles or just nature. So what im saying is that although i don't think a short luteal phase helps anything it also doesn't stop you in the end conceiving/having a successful pregnancy. Hope this helps a little bit x

err, I don't think that's true... Luteal Phase is extendable and many girls have done it with or without a doctor. https://www.babyandbump.com/trying-...gthen-luteal-phase-increase-progesterone.html

Again, not sure about this. I don't ovulate on CD1 and that has never been my problem.

Sorry huni but as far as i read it as above it reads like u ovulate on cd1 but now on clomid its cd14.. So bit confused

Not sure then what to advice then huni maybe see if anyone else knows more info.
But i do think your LPhase is ok, maybe read taking charge of your fertility it state info on LPhase so it might help u out

you can def lengthen your LP... sorry beauty! Didn't want to call attention to it... but many chicks have done it with B50 or B100 complex vits and a few other remedies... not sure which though as I don't have that problem. But 10 days is normally ok. I heard anything under 10 is bad from my FS as by the time the eggy would be implanting your uterine lining would already start the shedding process and then AF shows up a but later. Good luck!
