Really need some advice please help :-(

Hi I'm 25 years old and I have pcos I've currently been on my menstrual period now since April 19th it's now June 23rd my flow is moderate to heavy and it's every day it's really winding me up as its effecting my sexual relationship and because of the bleeding it's getting me down (bleed all holiday ) I went to my doctors had blood test done they checked for thyroids

Bloods came back and there fine apart from I'm anaemic no wonder as I keep losing so much blood, I had swobs done for infections in feb 2013 and that was all clear, does anyone else have this constant bleeding I forgot to mention when it's heavy it has a foul smell it's horrible and it's really starting too get me down as I can't do much due to the heavy bleed and blod clots

I've tried talking to doctors one said lose weight other doctor did bloods discovered anaemic take tablets and that's it nothing else mentioned, hate going back and fourth to the doctors but I can't keep bleeding like this it's a nightmare just want it to stop.... Please ladies any advice xxx

I was due a cancer smear April but due to bleeding and the heaviness I do not dare go for one as the bleeding just won't stop it's taking over everything I'm on that heavy that I'm constantly changing my pads and waking up to have leaked everywhere sorry TMI .... Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks everyone for reading xxx

I'm SO sorry hun... I have no great advise, but I would highly recommend you look into a specialist or someone that will take this more seriously. That is just aweful. My SD has horrible periods (she's only 16!) and diagnosed with endometriosis at 15- and tried different pills and tried to skip her periods as her flow was horrid- but that only caused her more issues and she had a period for 3mos!... so, although I can't understand personally, I hate what she is going through and I'm sure it would be aweful being the one going through it.

Could you mabye go back on the pill for a while, to get things back under control? Sorry, that's not great advise- but maybe your body just needs that extra help right now? I don't know much about PCOS-- maybe post in the TTC section too, as there are lots of woman with that (I remember from when I was in that section). If you haven't already.

Hopefully the right doctor can offer advise... long story short, I had some pains with sex since my LO was born, had exams, meds, labs, tests... and nothing "wrong"- so I finally called around to different OBGYNs in my area asking if anyone had experience with this type of situation and found a great doc that helped and figured out my issue and so far so good... I feel positive now that things can clear up! Sometimes doctors only know what they know- and fluff the rest off... which is NOT OK, and certainly frustrating. Hope you get some answers soon hun.

I finally booked into the doctors and seen a lovely lady who was very supportive she has put me on some tablets to help
Me stop bleeding, which I have done now and I'm also booked in for a cancer smear tomorrow and awaiting confirmation from a scan to double check everything inside, I'm also currently on 1500 metformin to help my periods and help me conceive,

I hope your daughter gets sorted Hun, I remember being 13 and first starting my periods they was so bad I used to hold my tummy in pain and cry to my mum as the pains were horrible and the periods were heavy doc put me on birth control which helped xx

Hope all is much better soon hun... and thanks, we have my SD going to another doctors office on the 11th for additional tests and conversation. I just feel like there is more they can do-- and like before, not all docs know it all. Just what they have experience with- so I'm glad you found someone that can help! Big hugs
