hi

well im really struggling to stick to my diet. i need to lose another 44lb before we can get any help. You would think with this great reason, i would be sticking to it 100% thing is i comfort eat alot, so whenever i feel sad or upset, which is most days since we have been trying so long, i end up feeling so bad, i always end up sabotaging the diet. thinking forget it

Wish i could snap out of it. my period gonna arrive any minute, i can feel it. Im crying already! just had enough now, i want my turn.

:hugs:

It is really hard. I'm like you, a comfort eater, and when you fail every cycle it's super stressful! We tried to go on a full blown diet but that didn't help. Now we're slowly working our way there.

We've stopped eating after 8pm.
We have one glass of water before every meal.
We've started taking lunch to work so we're not tempted to buy something unhealthy.
We don't keep anything unhealthy in the house.

It's really helped just doing those few things. Now we're trying to slowly inch our way to excercising regularly. I've found that diving in cold turkey just makes me more likely to fail or yo-yo.

Maybe try the simple things first and ease your way in. Can't hurt to try something else. :)

thanks very much.

i am excercising regularly, its just food and upset i need to work on. i will try little steps like you have suggested. thanks again x

Hi hun i have to lose 44lb to see fs, and it's so hard!

it feels like its forever away even at a healthy loss of 1-2lb a week. I dont seem to lose that every week im lucky for 1lb

Gosh, I understand that it is hard for you. But hey, have you tried the low GI diet. That diet is awesome. People loose weight fast and not by starwing themselves. The thing is that with this diet you feel less appetite because you do not touch your blood sugar. When you don´t touch the blood sugar your hormones get much healthier and girls with PCo will often start ovulating by themselves. Many people don´t need medicine or IVf, they just need the Low Gi Diet. Not to say that it is an easy diet but I believe it is the best one there is if you want to loose weight AND conceive:) I have heard many many succes stories and it is proven to work.

Amber

PS: I have endo and am personally underweight but last time I went on the diet I conceived (that never happens) though it ended in a chemical. The first time I went on the diet my cycle looked much better and my spotting which is pretty constant stopped. I have only done the diet for maximum one month a few times then I had to go off it because I was loosing weight so fast and as I said I am already very skinny. Last summer I went on the diet with my sister who wanted to loose weight and she lost a lot in just 4 weeks.

Thanks very much Amber, i will look into that diet and read up :-)

Sorry about your chemical :-( x

I have PCOS and found out I had an underactive thyroid (growl!), so losing weight was really, really hard for me as well -- and I completely understand about the comfort eating as well -- my tip is, in particular, day that AF comes is eat/drink whatever you want that day and then, go back to 'diet' the next day (I usually had a lovely chocolate muffin, a few glasses of wine and a good cry, which helped me alot). Another suggestion is to freeze mini-chocolate bars, so if you really must, then you have to savour the chocolate rather than eat the whole bag at one time.

Incidentially, I lost about 45-50lbs over the course of year by healthy eating, gentle exercise, etc., so it is possible to do it slowly and then, I got pregnant naturally after two years of ttcing, so it does work (eventually!)

best wishes

thanks sabrinakat! i love success stories!
Congrats on losing the weight and conceiving naturally! xx
