I've used the pessary and the canesten cream every day for past 10 days and it doesn't seem to be improving. It's either itchy or burny or both:wacko:
Does anyone have any home remedies I can try- I've heard about natural youghurt but what do I do with it?

I haven't gotten it but I would suggest adding probiotics and digestive enzymes, possibly grapefruitseed extract, colloidal silver or D Mannose to fix the problem!
I used to he prone to it. But atm don't even seem to get it after 3 rounds of antibiotics for a kidney infection caused by the baby obstructing my urinary tract.

I get thrush really often...sometimes 2 - 3 times a month. It's really frustrating. For me, the creams/inserts I get from my GP help each time (and I get them refilled immediately so I always have it on hand).

If after 10 days it hasn't gone away, you can consider calling your doctor for something stronger (when I was 40 weeks pregnant with my DD, I had thrush that didn't go away with the usual treatment. So they gave me a 'super strength' 1-day treatment insert/pessary pill in the hopes we could get rid of it ASAP before my DD was born) and while it was kind of gross and I was leaking chunks of it for a couple days, it DID take care of the problem.

I've never gotten up the nerve to actually try any of the 'natural remedies' (I've heard raw garlic and live-culture yogurt are supposed to help, by inserting them internally) but I don't know any specifics and don't know anyone personally who has tried them, so I've never gotten around to trying on my own.

Good luck though... I know how annoying it can be!!

what are the symptoms of thrush? my downstairs feels real raw and sore and sometime itchy

Omg I am fed up to death of it, I had it constantly when I was having Madi and I've got it now, for a bout the zillionth time this pregnancy. I have just got the cream, I did have pessarys before with Madi.
No soap in the bath or anything perfumed.

I would go to your OBGYN and get a swab to make sure it's thrush and not bv as the treatment is different. My vag is a bloody mess since pregnancy it's totally out of whack so I'm thinking of going for a culture myself.

Been to doc and had swabs done, she said it looks like thrush tho
Got Daktarin cream to insert with an applicator twice a day for a week- it's already improved the symptoms
Tomorrow I'm washing all my undies on a 90 degree wash as I'm maybe passing it back to myself!

Coolbabe yea sore, raw, itchy, swollen and also a thick discharge are all symptoms of thrush

I have had discharge this WHOLE pregnancy....most the time its clear watery looking but sometimes will be creamy white...I go tomorrow so gonna bring it up and have em take a look or swab...its terrible and I dont wanna live with it anymore

I told the doctor today I had 2 episodes of blood tinged discharge so he examined me and said all he saw was white stuff, the start of a yeast infection. I'm not itchy or anything which I thought was odd because I've had it before prepregnancy and it would be raw and itchy. Just goes to show there doesn't have to be any symptoms

I've had the same before and it was all internal so no itchy or sore symptoms but was pretty bad inside and only a swab could tell
It's so annoying!!
All undies boil washed now so hope to be rid for a while.

I went to doctor today...sitting there naked from the waist down and he didnt examine me...he gave me a script for inserts and cream and said if that dont work he will check it out

Weird he didn't examine you...my doctor asked to examine just because I mentioned blood in thick discharge so he wanted to take a peek. That's the only way I'd have known it was a yeast infection
