I saw my consultant for a 'review' appointment on 4th August. He knew we were TTC again and in fact, may be pregnant then, which I turned out to be. He took some swabs to check for infection (I had one at the birth of my girls in April and have had them since then) and also chlamydia, as although I'm unlikely to have it, this can cause premature rupture of the membranes, which is what made me lose my girls.
He said I would get the results in a couple of weeks. It has now been three weeks, so I rang his secretary to ask why I hadn't heard anything. Apparently they have one set of results back, but not the other and since my consultant is away until next week, I won't hear back until at least then, or when they get the second lot of results back.
I am really angry and upset. I assume, as the results are taking so long, there is a problem. (previously when I was swabbed in pregnancy and after, the only results that took so long to come back were if there was an infection) Obviously if there is a problem, it could end my pregnancy. Plus, my husband is away for six weeks as of Friday this week, so if there is a problem I will have to deal with it alone.
I don't reallly see what I can do about it though.
