Recent mommies....discharge question

Well, I have stopped bleeding a while ago, but I have had some stringy orange and brown discharge which turned into a lot of darker brown discharge. It has been 5 weeks since I had Mia. Will this ever go away?

Oh and I am having some cramps too. Is there a period on the way?

mine eased off to a weird discharge then just stopped one day, if your having cramping there may well be a period on the way i would ask your doc to check you out though in case of infection

Got the same thing and I started bleeding bright red again + having period cramps. I'm assuming it's my period now.

Ah what the hell.... I feel like I am gonna have discharge forever. And I have a dr's appt next wednesday where she is to do a pap test

Whats a pap test? .. Never heard of it! I had stringy discharge for quite a few weeks after kyle was born, still not back to normal!

I had a funny stringy discharge, but that had a nasty smell to it do, so the doc did a swab (which was PAINFUL on a grazed vaginal wall! sorry tmi!) and it turned out I had a streptococcul infection down there, so good that you are having a pap just to make sure.

I finished my course of antibiotics, and the smelliness has gone away, but still have stringy mucousy discharge (a bit like a mucas plug, without the blood!) I'm assuming this is normal, and the infection has gone away and was just causing the smell and not the stringy stuff...

I think it's just one of those post-pregnancy things. Doubt it means my period is coming, but since you are not breastfeeding Mia to demand like you were, your hormones could be settling down so that you might come on soon Just have to wait and see I guess...

Don't remember very well, but im pretty sure I had similar.. then more bleeding, then my period, then it all came to a stop.
