Recieved My Booking Appt...

For thurs 26th of this month (a week today) and they never said nothing about a scan either on the phone or on the letter they sent me. I just want to be scanned as soon as and i dont know if i will be on my booking appt. I'll be 8+4 on the day i have hosp so obviously they will be able to see if everything is going ok. I know its not a good way to look at it but i dont see the point in going through all booking appts and tests etc if everything isnt fine. Even though i never miscarried with my first it was through different reasons why things went wrong, everytime i go to the toilet i expect to see blood on the tissue and i keep dreaming im going to misscarry and its stressig me out, which isnt good for me or the baby so i hope they send me for a quick scan on thurs when im there. Somebody mentioned ringing my consultant to get an earlier scan but i dont know if i will have the same one as i now live in a different area and their is another site to the liverpool womens hospital close by where i have to go instead of the main site, if anybody else has been for a booking appt and ending up getting a scan please let me know, plus when im their theres no harm asking. Can you ask your GP to refer you to an early pregnancy unit? Mine did and at 9 1/2 weeks saw baby! I then went to the booking appointment the following week....we went private in this pregnancy, but didn't start paying the consultant until around wk16 (in installments) due to previous mc. The other option is to pay for a private scan simply for your peace of mind.

I would ask to go to the EPU hunny for a scan

thanks girls i think im just going to see if they can scan me in my booking appt with a mobile ultra sound, its not fair making us wait obviously they know my circumstances so i my mind i should of had a scan by now xx

Hi becky I live not far from you. I went to the early pregnancy clinic in whiston they were brilliant having another scan done as well at 7 weeks. I lost my baby in July at 36 weeks due to complete abruptions so when I found out I was pregnant I'm a nervous wreck! When I was having niggles went straight to whiston they put me on baby asprin coz if what happened last time and did bloods and scans. Should be seeing my consultant soon who is also understanding and if all goes well will be induced 34 wks. Do they have an early pregnancy clinic at the woman's that you can walk straight into? Xx

i havent a clue becktoria im not going to the actual womens site its another one situated in aintree hospital so as far as i know their is an antenatal ward and thats it, where as my consultant told me i would be going to the fetal centre because of last time so their might be one there. ill just ask on thurs whats going to happen because its only a booking appt doubt ill get a scan still going to ask for one though x
