I'd love to wear LO but we only have a Bjorn style carrier which I hear isn't the greatest. Only issue is LO is around 20lbs. I think I'd prefer a structured carrier vs a wrap. Unfortunately there are no sling libraries near me.

I love my Ergo- easy to put on, and doesn't hurt my back. :flower:

I have an ergo and it's so comfy. Had a moby wrap before that and just didn't get on with it. I find Hadley loves the ergo, she likes to look around and tends to fall asleep in it.

I personally prefer woven wraps, but I also like my Ergo a lot. Mei Tais are excellent as well! Good on you for ditching the Bjorn carrier! :flower:

Recently came into a bit of extra money and wanted to treat myself. The ergo looks ideal for what I need, just worried LO will be too heavy soon? Or am I being silly?

They're quite padded and give decent support. Also you get used to it. I had an old guy tell me I was "tough" because he caught me walking uphill without a coat with Hadley strapped to me, carrying a bag of shopping in February. :haha:

What do you do to keep LO warm when in the carrier? Is there special blankets or something?

I have a rose and rebellion that I front carry my 16 week lg in, but I have back carried my 16 month old ds (tall & 27lb) in it too... only had it a few weeks - and i LOVE it! Double buggy hasnt been used since! :-)

Also try not to panic over weight too much. My ds has ALWAYS been on the 91st centile for weight, weight gain does slow down quite considerably.

It took me weeks to decide on my carrier, too many nice things out there!

Have fun choosing :-) x

I just use normal clothes... but layer her rather than thick things. You will be suprised how warm they are huddled up to you, plus the layer of material covering baby from the carrier. I sometimes put tights under dd leggings just as below her knee is where she is main exposed.

If it's a carrier you're after then I like the Infantino baby carrier. I don't use it much, but I do find it useful around the house when my daughter is having a clingy day

I've just ordered a toddler connecta! Like ten mins ago lol. It was £72 and I got the zoology pattern. I can't wait for it to arrive. You should have a look at the baby connectas. I've heard soooo many good reviews about them. I'm not a fan of the look of the ergo's tbh. Xx

Well I'm no expert but I love my Ergo, have the galaxy grey design and it looks lovely. No discomfort carrying Alex either. Love the look of Rose and Rebellion carriers too but not tried one out x

Love my Ergo!

And for a cheapie (but WONDERFUL) option, I also have an Infantino Sash Mei Tai-style carrier. I'm serious...it's cheap, and absolutely works well, even for larger babies. Check it out, and read the 8 bazillion positive reviews on it...for $32, it's great.

Another vote for the Ergo. My LO is 20 lbs and I feel very comfortable wearing her. My friend has a 2 year old that she still wears in her Ergo. I wouldn't worry about weight :)

Be careful there are tons of fake Ergos on Ebay I hear!

I considered the Ergo but went with the Boba 3g. I wanted to use with infant though with no insert, that doesnt really apply to you!

Get an Ergo if you can afford it. I can't, so I have the Infantino Sash Mei Tai and love it!

Careful buying ergos off ebay and amazon loads tend to be fakes. Think you can get a list of authentic stockists. I think john lewis or debenhams stock themhun. I have the connecta which i adore. Hope whichever you pick is right for you. Happy babywearing x
