Hi ladies we've been debating for weeks now about whether to stay team yellow or take the plunge and find out what the gender is. (Our local hospital have a strict policy of not telling)

Having talked about it a bit more the last couple of days we are thinking about it a bit more seriously but I have no idea where is the best place to go. We're slap bang in between Edinburgh or Glasgow, fairly close to Perth & Dundee too so don't mind travelling to any of those locations.

Where have you been, what were your experiences & would you recommend it to someone?

I have been looking into this, I live between Edin and Glasgow too, although to the south. I have found 2 places doing good deals and have spoken to people who have been scanned by both and have had nothing but good things to say. One is Babybond who are in Glasgow, Edin, Livingston, Aberdeen, Dunfermline and Stirling. They do a free 4d scan with the gender scan. https://www.babybond.com/

The other is https://www.babyscanning.co.uk/4d-scans-glasgow who have a special offer on in Glasgow just now, 4d scan for £89.

I. Live in Cornwall but I had a private scan at 10 weeks with baby bond and they were really good so have booked a 4d one with them for January. They are nation-wide so there maybe one near you xx

I've used Babybond in both Edinburgh and Glasgow (twice), both were great but our experience in Glasgow a few months ago was fantastic. The staff really know what they're doing and are genuinely lovely really nice people.

There is a new place offering scans in Motherwell I think, but it's very new and I opted to stick with Babybond because they have such a good rep already.

We had one in Stirling with babybond and it was good we had a gender scan they were really nice and not rushed at all x (and right lol) x

Thanks ladies, I've looked on a couple of websites but to be honest found them a bit overwhelming and slightly confusing. Babybond seems to be popular, if we do get one, then I want to enjoy the experience and not be rushed but also be confident in the ability of the staff.

Need to look into babybond again!

I've not had a private scan myself but one of my friends went to Babybond in Livi for a gender scan at 15 weeks and she said it was brilliant. She got a wee keyring with one of her scan photos whilst she was there too.

Thanks ladies, definitely sounds like Babybond is a really good one. Need to check them out and make a final decision.

We are also central and hospital wouldn't tell us. We decided to stay that way...though I do regret it a tiny bit. My husband is convince we should wait.

However we went to Perth Baby studio and the staff were amazing. Gave us all the time in the world an it felt really personal. Couldn't speak highly enough of the experience.

Were in Aberdeen and we used Baby Bond and they were fantstic, i believe that they are quite pricey compared to some though but we felt it was worth it. the Phots we got were fantastic. and the video is amazing

In Edinburgh I recommend "The Edinburgh Clinic" - it has a website and you can enquire. It's a lovely place and the staff are SO nice. Good luck! https://www.edinburghclinic.com/clinics/obstetric-scanning/3d-and-4d-pregnancy-scans/

We used Babybond in Livingston both times

My sister had a scan at Perth Baby Studio and me & my mum got to go too and it was brilliant. The staff were lovely. I've got my 20W scan at the hospital on Thursday & am hoping they will tell me the sex of this baby. They did with DS1 so don't see why they won't. We are planning on getting a private scan done too in a few weeks and will go to the one in Perth. Although I guess the main reason for choosing them is because I live in Perth. :flower:

I totally agree. The Perth Baby Studio was one of the best days in my whole life, we took my parents too and we had an hour of scans and numerous other tests that the NHS dont do. It was amazing, we will be going back although its more expensive than it was when I was pregnant with DD.

Good luck! xx

I went to babybond in Edinburgh at 9, 16 and 27 weeks. Cannot praise them enough, really friendly and helpful staff! At my last one they even threw in a few extras as I'd been so many times! Prices did seem a bit steep to me at first, but after looking into other places they're all pretty much the same, worth every penny!
