Who else feels any sort of rectal pain/pressure during ovulation? Is this normal.

I just read the following on a site...

"I was just wandering if anyone else suffers from rectal pain during ovulation. I do most months and it is a bit annoying but not debilitating in any way, well that was until yesterday. It usually lasts an hour or so but it started about 4.30pm yesterday afternoon and is still going this morning. It has just started to ease off a bit now. I felt sick with the pain and had to take panadol and sit on a hot water bottle"

i sometimes feel pain in that area around ovulation, but not every month and its doesn't require meds or anything. When i check my cervix, it is very close to where your rectum is i believe and that could be why? Because if you push like your having a bowel movement, your cervix will move down towards your finger.

I generally have soreness in that whole area. Yesterday I had some shooting pains that almost felt like they were also in my butt (sorry TMI) it is a very weird thing

Yes I have shooting pains in that area when I'm ovulating, sometimes its painful to sit down! I'm pretty sure its due to cervical position.

OMG I didn't know that could happen, I just passed it off as well...normal pains I guess :) My mom always told me when I had any pain at all that wasn't making me throw up that it was growing pains and not to worry about it, and I still think that even tho I'm 31 and am done growing :) good to know I will pay attention more now!! :)
