I am probably going to ring the midwife soon but I've noticed yesterday and today I've had reduced moved. More so than that, it seems the movements I do get aren't as strong.

I know the baby's head was 3/5ths engaged about 2 weeks ago but I was still getting really strong movements until yesterday I'd say.

I've been in bed for about 3 hours and had a couple of slight pulsing feelings low down. I usually get this at first when I lay down. Almost like the baby is getting a bit squashed and moves because of it. This time they just felt less squirmy if that makes sense.

I had a cold glass of juice and OH got his hands really cold under the tap and put them on my belly. We got a couple of moves but definitely not as strong. I find myself doubting myself and wondering if I'm being paranoid but this baby is normally so wriggly that I'm usually stopped in my tracks when it does move!

As I said I will probably call midwife soon. Was going to eat something first. But just wondering whether I should be worrying if the baby foes in fact move after prompting? Normally I wouldn't have to be drinking gold drinks or prodding to get movement.

I think contact you midwife with any change in normal movements. Let us know how you get on x

Hope all is good, I would definitely call and get checked . My ob said anything that changes with movements lways have checked. She said even a feeling that something is off is worth getting checked.

Get checked hun, always better safe than sorry. hope all is OK :flower:

Please get checked ASAP, I didn't and regret that decision every single day, I'm sure all us fine and I'm NOT trying to scare you, just sharing my experience xxx

Get checked. Any change in the normal pattern of movements should be checked out just in case.
I hope all is well

Phone and get checked hun. Any change in movements is always best to get checked :) xx

Just like the other ladies said, ring midwife! It's so difficult to know because some ladies experience this and actually end up losing their babies then other ladies like myself go through the same thing and end up going to the hospital and everything is all OK! You just have to ring midwife and check up on it because you can't risk it really x

Thanks ladies :)

I did call the midwife and went up to be monitored. All is ok. The heart rate went up quite high a few times (193 was the highest) but she wasn't concerned as it dropped straight back down. WAs on there for about 45 minutes. Didn't feel much movement but did have a few bits of movement near the end.

She was happy with the readings but told me to phone again if I'm unsure at any point.

Thanks for all the replies :)

Glad all is ok. I went into be monitored a while ago and the hb went up to 190s a couple of times. I asked about it and they said that's fine as long as it goes down again.

Glad you got checked. Always better to be safe.

Glad you got told the same about the hb. Not that I don't trust the midwife but you get so many differing opinions sometimes between one midwife and another!
