Redundancy/HB

I work part time and my OH works full time, he's on a secondment at the moment but he's just found out that his old job has been axed. It looks as though others will get redundancy pay but noone knows if he will since his secondment isn't over until May, but he will still have no job at the end of it... does anybody know?

Also, after May if he hasn't found another job will we be able to claim any benifits since my part time wage is only a fraction of what we'd need to live off?

If his job was 'at risk' of redundancy he has to be formally notified I believe. I would advise he speaks to his union or CAB.
