refusing breastfeed

leyla wont BF tonight, i have had to give her an extra 3oz bottle of formula, dont know if ive done the right thing but she was screaming and i worried she was hungry, the bottle was the only thing she would take, she wouldnt even latch on to my boob, i was putting it in her mouth and she just wouldnt have it at all! what do i do? i gave her some teething gel aswell in case it was that but it didnt help, she wont take a dummy either

Sounds like a nursing strike She's probably worked out there's an easier way now youre combining. Dont sweat it babe so long as youre both happy xx

Hiya..... gosh, sounds familiar. My little girl started refusing breast too, although she didn't cry so much as got cross with me! Just like Mervs mum says, nursing strike. Big boo. It ends up being catch 22 doesn't it, you feed formula because you dont want them to suffer, then of course they quite like the faster flow of bottles

You're doing a grand job, boob or bottle or both!
