HELP!

shes completely refusing my right boob, as soon as she makes contact with it she screams! this is the same boob ive had problems with latching her on. i try hand expressing a little before i get her on it made a bit of a diff at the start but now she just screams until shes purple i dont know why or what to do...

ive also tried dif feeding positions with no luck, she just screams and clamps her mouth shut in protest. as soon as i put her on the other boob she latches and feeds fine...

This is going to sound awful, and I really don't want you to panic, but I've read in some magazines about this sort of thing happening and there actually being something wrong with the breast (eg cancer). It's probably not that, but it might be worth asking your doc to have a look.

Grace used to do thiat with my right boob. Not sure why though

Oh don't listen to that cancer milarky, I thought I had cancer because Caitlyn did the same thing. Now she latches on fine. Can you express milk from there with your fingers easily? Is the flow the same as the left? I found the left came out quicker

im going to the doctor today with a list of things so ill mention it to midwife mura.

the flows actually better from the right breast shell drink the milk from the breast if its in a bottle

very frustrating

Hebe went thru a phase of refusing one side - she still does from time to time. :)

Skyler had problems latching onto my left breast.Tried all the advices given to me...nothing worked.I have exclusively been breastfeeding from my right breast only with no problems! So even if he doesnt want the one breast, your other breast will make up for it! Dont worry. It happens.

ive read a few storys like that hope the docs can help

My right side has a flat nipple so for the first few weeks or longer she couldn't latch on so I just expressed it frequently until her mouth was big enough to take it

I've heard of a few people who just use one side with no problems - your body soon adjusts the supply. If you've tried lots of positions I guess lying her the way you would to feed from the left doesn't make a difference? x

nope no diff at all she just plays with it getting frustrated, maybe theres something wrong with my nipple and she cant latch hence the frustration?
will keep pumping that boobie and see how it goes!
