hello ladies I know I have posted questions on here while I was pregnant but now I actually have a baby!!!
He was born 9 days ago em,c section, before we left the hospital (3 days old) he had lost 10.4% of his birth wieght and was getting very stressed at the breast and fulll of wind all the time. they gave him 1 formula top up with a cup they were insisting I continued to top him up once home...even though my milk hadn't come in yet its not supposed to be in at 3 days!!!
I gave him two top ups (30ml) the night before I left hospital after I had breast feed him cos he was still stressing, when I got home my milk came in. spoke to the midwife cos they wanted her to wiegh him that next day to see if he had gained she refused and wieghed him on day 5 with only my milk he had regained 250g
my boobs work!!!
She wieghed him yesterday (day eight) he is now 1 oz over his birth wieght of 7.7lb
If it wasn't for looking at the great info on here ladies I wouldn't have had a clue so thank you so much.
I have been feeding for a week now, I've had cracked nipples but I sorted that adjusted latches etc and used loads of that lanisoh cream, everything is going great so thanks again.
