registered my DD for school today

I enrolled dd2 yesterday. I actually haven't been emotional with any of my girls starting school/nursery, don't know what's wrong with me! She is desperate to start, so that definitely makes it easier x

I registered a while back for my ds2, can't believe he will be going to school! My little baby!! He's gorgeous and I think will make a great addition to the classroom though. Hopefully I won't be proved wrong!!

I have to enrol my DD for school tomorrow, then the following day have to go into hospital to have her baby brother. It will be the first nigjt i have spent away from her and she is 4.5 so i am a big emotiomal mess right now.

Aww good luck!

I was in your position last year. It's taken alot of getting used too and I miss DD terribly (5days is too long imo) but she loves it and is excelling in her learning so I'm really proud :)

It has been a while since I was in your position, but you wouldn't be a good mom if you didn't grieve a little bit over this rite of passage. I think I cried all the way to work that day but guess what? It wasn't too long before I was picking up my ds and we had new things to talk about. Best wishes.

Awww I’m with you babyv

I enrolled both my girls when they were 6 months old DD1 started reception this past September .... I cried like a baby she loves school now and has lots f friends !

DD2 will start this coming January I will also cry like a baby at this !! It’s such an emotional time !! Off in their own little adventure !

I’m sure your DD will be delighted too !

It’s hard being away from our children. Enjoy coming home to her with your new addition x

Maria was 6.5 when she started school so by then I was more than ready for her to go but was surprised to find I got quite emotional when her first day came - it's quite a milestone so bound to make us tear up a bit.

I cried filling in the form! The thought of it makes me feel sick. I hate to think of her away from me all that time. My husband wanted to keep her at home this year and send her next year but she is so excited to go so I guess that's outweighing it for us and we will just see how she gets on. It's so hard though! X
