Has anyone ever felt like their healing was regressing? Maybe a week or so ago, my abdomen seems like it's gotten a little sore again (no pus or anything). I put it down to doing too much (DH is gone majority of the day as he's been helping out on construction with his dad after work, so it's really just me and has been since LO was born). So I figured maybe I just was doing too much with my abdominal muscles (our couches suck & are hard to get out of which what I think caused it, tbh). I've been trying to take it as easy as possible, which is pretty much impossible since DH is gone most of the time.

TMI, but last night I either had really dark brown stool or black (it's been normal all of the other times). I was planning on seeing how, um, it looks today. My mom thought maybe I could have pulled a stitch inside, but I think that would probably hurts loads. I mostly am sore when trying to get up/down from the couch & trying to pick up or put down LO. Has anyone had this before? I have an appt Tuesday, so I definitely plan on getting it checked out & may even call tomorrow to see if I can get in tomorrow instead.

I don't know what to say about the black stool, but if it happens again I'd definately see your dr. I did, however, get more pain after about a month. I had started doing a bit more at this point, and after another day or two of rest, I was feeling better again. My LO was 9.5 lbs when born, so when I lifted him in his carseat and the diaper bag, I was WAY over my 10lb limit, so I think that's what did it. I'm 4 months out, and I still get a little sore if I overdo it. HOpe you're feeling better soon.

Spunky, I was getting on this forum to look for a thread just like this. I'm 5 weeks PP as well and am getting sore again too. I'm thinking the same thing as you, that I've just been doing too much. I was super careful the first few weeks then started to feel better so I started lifting more, etc. So I'm guessing that's what it is; I plan on taking it easy the next few days and asking the doctor on Friday at my 6 week check up.

I don't have the black stool thing you do but it has been hurting me to go to the bathroom now for some reason (TMI, I know). I was fine until about 2 weeks PP...I'm assuming its a hemorrhoid but I'm not sure I don't feel anything down there, though , and I've never had one before...?

Good luck and hope you start feeling better! :flower:

I've been feeling a bit more sore too and 5.5 weeks in. I have been doing loads since one week after my section I lift my dd that's 37 pounds and never had pain until now. I chalk it up to it healing internally perhaps. Well hope it gets better because I plan in starting a vigorous workout routine very soon. Im not patient with csections lol on the second day I came home and started laundry, stairs etc...

Glad to know I'm not the only one!

The stool has been normal since, so maybe it was just something I ate?

I had my appt with my midwife Tuesday and she said this was completely normal. The incision looked great, so she wasn't concerned at all. Funny thing is Wednesday I felt great! Not so much today, but at least I know this is normal.

laila, that's crazy! For the first week, I was walking slow as a snail lol I didn't notice a big difference until exactly 1 week after, but still was struggling after for about another week. It was week 2-3 that I was feeling good, but 3 weeks onward that I started noticing a little more pain, but not as much until week 5. Were you just as mobile with your first section?

I actually just posted the same question. I guess I shoulda read before I did :)

I am really sore and I am 5 weeks after section. I took it really easy at first but had to move at 4 weeks. I didn't really do much of the moving but all the packing and unpacking is prob too much work. Are we supposed to do a 6 week check up or an 8 week check up? I did my 2 week but since I moved I haven't really made any check up apts yet.

I think you still do a 6 week check up though some dr's might be different? I was having some other pain issues (that weren't incision related) that required a pelvic ultrasound so I'm also having an 8 week check up.

I would definitely call about a check up that way that can see how your incision has continued to heal and that things are starting to go back to normal and where they should be.

The stool thing could be something you ate or too much iron. The soreness- Im glad she was able to see that everything was normal- the sound of it - you may have been being super woman ; ) Congratulations to you and get some rest!!!!
