Good evening everyone

I was just wondering what everyone does to relax whilst TTC?
I think part of my irregular cycle is to do with stress, which Im trying to deal with and not let things get to me. Ive started having nice long soaks in the bath and lots of lie ins!

Would do you all do to relax?

Hey

I try to do yoga when I can which helps me relax. Also trying to get housework etc done in the week now after work so that weekends OH and I can just do whatever we feel like doing rather than spending half a day doing chores.

Baths sound good though - might have to start doing that myself.

xx

Before my 2m/c and this eternity afterwards TTC, I used to enjoy lots of things. But then I just couldn't relax. But I'm trying very hard go back to what I used to enjoy once. Reading, drawing, listening to music on headphones be4 going to sleep and unwind, completely forget about TTC. Oh yes, and having nice baths with candles, exercising...etc

Good luck girls! xxx

I get out my guitar and just write music. It's a form of therapy for me, like a diary. No expectations, no audience. I write for myself right now. It helps me to unwind all the negative energy :)

I take long baths and read while I am in there or I sit down and write my stories. Something about writing fiction and being able to get into a different world that has NOTHING to do with TTC really helps me at times.

I'm in the same boat with the rredular cycles - worrying about when AF is going to show or if I'll ever ovulate again makes it hard to chill out.

I've started reading more and have taken up gardening. Somehow knowing that I can grow veggies and herbs makes me feel a bit more confident in my ablity to grow a baby! doesn't really make much sense but helps me through when I loose all faith in my body.

I've also decided that I will treat myself to a glass of wine or two once a week if I want - at least until my cycles get sorted

Booze! (JUST KIDDING). Baths, going out with friends and taking my mind off of it.

I can honestly say that the only time (excluding the first year of TTC) I stress about TTC is during my IVF cycles and it is IMPOSSIBLE not to stress during that time. You've got extra hormones going on as well as all the waiting and just not knowing.

When i'm not cycling, i'm actually pretty relaxed (so i've blown the whole 'don't think about it and you'll get pregnant' theory) I just try and enjoy the good things in my life, mostly my horses, my dogs and my DH, I also enjoy my job too.

So when not cycling, there isn't much cause for stress in my life...in the big scheme of things anyway. I find that regular exercise is a great outlet for stress.

When cycling i've tried yoga, meditation, counselling, naturpathy and nothing has helped me. If I had a smooth cycle, i'd probably be ok, but thus far we've had a million obstacles each cycle
